KUNSKOG is a personal selection of around a hundred drawings by the artist Stuart Pearson Wright. Giving licence to the idiosyncrasies of taste, the show embraces the gamut of contemporary drawing, from works by Turner Prize winner Gillian Wearing, and established artists, Paul Noble, Michael Landy and Ged Quinn, to Australian polymath Rolf Harris and people who ‘draw in private’, Stephen Merchant, Reece Shearsmith, Julian Barratt, John Hurt and David Thewlis. Stuart has also invited non-artists to submit work for the show, including friends, their children and his own mother.

Clock Opera will play from 10pm at Five Hundred Dollars, following the First Thursdays late opening of Kunskog on 1st October

"Drawing was my first love. I feel that drawings are often more revelatory than paintings (about their maker). Anyone can pick up a pencil and make marks on a piece of paper. There’s something wonderfully democratic about drawing in that sense. I’m interested to know what drawing means to different people. Drawing is often a very private language and yet also, as in the case of an artist like Paul Noble, a very public language. I am interested in that comparison: the doodle and the epic masterwork."
